With the Prescription service, prescriptions can be written and delivered electronically. Further information about the service:
The Prescription service can be used by the following service providers
- health care and social welfare units
- service providers
- pharmacists
- hospital pharmacies.
If a physician or dentist prepares a prescription for private use and on a not-for-profit basis, they will use the Kelain service . Preparing prescriptions for private use does not require you to join the Prescription service.
Information system requirements
Before deploying the Prescription service, the service provider verifies with their system supplier that the patient or pharmacy information system they use is compatible with Kanta.
Deployment process
During the Prescription service deployment process, the service provider
- performs pre-deployment tasks
- reads and understands the deployment support material
- undertakes administrative measures on Kanta Extranet
- undertakes steps to ensure production readiness prior to use of the service, if desired.
