Kanta joins official Slush side event

Wellness data storage platform showcased to startups and application developers.

The Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has invited startup companies, application developers and providers of health and wellness services to join a Slush side event with the theme ”Health and welfare services meets startups”.

The purpose of the event is among other things to make Finnish health and wellness startups more competitive in international markets and to spur cooperation among startups and service providers.

At its stand, Kela will present the My Kanta Personal Health Record, which can be used with Kanta-certified wellness apps from third parties.
- They can be native mobile apps for smartphone or tablet, server-based apps such as symptom assessment questionnaires that can be completed in a browser, or other online programs or services.
- Citizen users can view and delete data in the Personal Health Record also via the My Kanta pages, says Pirjo Vuorikallas, product owner for the Personal Health Record service.
