The joint testing of the functionality to act on behalf of a minor can continue

Notice - Developers Written on 20.8.2020 All notices

In July 2020, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health decided that the data systems will not include default settings based on age for recording estimated capacity for self-determination. The joint testing test cases have now been updated to conform to the new policy.

At present, parents and guardians can act on behalf of a child under 10 in My Kanta Pages. Acting on behalf of all minors will be deployed in stages starting in October 2020.

There will be no 12-year age limit for recording assessments of capacity for self-determination in data systems because it does not meet the requirements of the Act on patients' rights. However, in order to avoid the need for recording the youngest children's capacity for self-determination separately for every visit, an age limit may be set in the future with regard to the recording procedure.

The test cases have been updated

The test cases for the joint testing of the functionality to act on behalf of a minor have been updated in order to be compatible with version 1.4 of the functional specification Disclosure of minors' data to guardians in healthcare.

When the joint testing starts, the system suppliers will receive updated test cases for the joint testing of the functionality to act on behalf of a minor. The system suppliers who are currently carrying out joint testing of the functionality to act on behalf of a minor have already been contacted.
