Interruptions in the services in May 2025

Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

8 May: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: 8 May 2025 between 7pm and 2am

Due to maintenance work in the Valtori VY network, there may be short interruptions in Kanta services.

Short interruptions may affect the following:

  • the issuing of prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights.
  • Kelain service
  • the transfer of electronic prescriptions and patient summaries between EU countries
  • Valvira’s role and attribute service.

In the event of a service interruption, please try to access the service again later.

10 May: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible

Time: 10 May 2025 between 10am and 1pm

Due to maintenance work carried out in the Valvira's service, there may be a short interruption in Kanta services.

Interruption may affect the following:

  • the issuing of prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights
  • Kelain service
  • Valvira’s role and attribute service.

In the event of a service interruption, please try to access the service again later.

13 May: Service break in Kanta Services

Time: 13 May 2025 between 6am and 10am

Maintenance work will be carried out in the Kanta Services, affecting the use of the following services:

  • Kanta Extranet

Kanta Extranet will not be available during the service interruption.

17 May: Interruption in the Kanta Services 

Time: 17 May 2025 between 6am and 8am

Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance, as a result of which there will be an interruption in the following services:

  • MyKanta
  • Kanta Extranet

Please try to access the service again after the interruption, if necessary.

27 May: Service break in Kanta Services

Time: 27 May 2025 between 6am and 10am

Maintenance work will be carried out in the Kanta Services, affecting the use of the following services:

  • Kanta Extranet

Kanta Extranet will not be available during the service interruption.

27 May: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible

Time: 27 May 2025 between 6pm and 12 midnight

The Kanta Services is carrying out technical maintenance work, due to which there may be short interruptions in the use of the services:

  • Patient Data Repository
  • Patient Data Management Service
  • System for issuing declarations of intent
  • Imaging Data Repository
  • Delivery of Medical Certificates
  • Delivery of e-prescriptions between different EU countries
  • Transmitting Patient summary abroad
  • MyKanta
