Interruptions in the services in October 2024

Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

6 October: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible

Time: 6 October 2024 between 10pm and 11pm

Due to maintenance work in the Valtori VY network, there may be a short interruption in Kanta services.

Short interruptions may affect the following:

  • the issuing of prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights.
  • Kelain service
  • the transfer of electronic prescriptions and patient summaries between EU countries
  • Valvira’s role and attribute service.

In the event of a service interruption, please try to access the service again later.

8 October: Potential interruptions in the Kanta Services

Time: 8 October 2024 between 6am and 10am

Maintenance work is carried out in the Kanta Services, which may result in brief interruptions in the following services:

  • Kanta Extranet
  • Kanta.fi

During the interruptions, the traffic of Kanta.fi and Kanta Extranet will be redirected to a temporary page.

During the breaks, MyKanta can be accessed via the following direct link: https://kansalainen.kanta.fi/?lg=fi

In addition, the interruption will have no impact on the use of Kelain. Kelain can be accessed via the following direct link: https://www.kelain.fi/

9 October: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: 9 October 2024 between 8.30pm and 2am

Kanta-service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

17 October: Interruption in the Kanta Services

Time: 17 September 2024 between 9pm and 12pm

Due to maintenance work carried out in Estonia, there will be interruption in the following Kanta services:

  • Delivery of e-prescriptions between Estonia and Finland
  • Delivery of patient summary to Estonia

20 October: Interruption in the Kanta Services

Time: on 20 October 2024 between 8.30am – 2pm.

Due to maintenance work carried out in Spain, there will be an interruption in the following Kanta service:

  • Delivery of e-prescriptions between Spain and Finland
  • Delivery of patient summary to Spain

22 October: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: 22 October 2024 between 8.30pm and 2am

Time: on 27 October 2024 between 8am and 11am

Due to maintenance work carried out in Spain, there will be interruption in the following Kanta service:

  • Delivery of patient summary to Spain

29 October: Imaging Data Repository is temporarily unavailable

Time: 29 October 2024 between 6pm and midnight

System upgrades will be taking place in the Imaging Data Repository between 18:00 and midnight on 29th October 2024. This will cause an interruption in saving and retrieval functionality for diagnostic tests in the Imaging Data Repository.
