15 September: Possible interruptions in the use of Kanta Services

Time: 15 September 2026 between 6.00 am and 8.00 am

The Kanta Services is carrying out technical maintenance work, due to which there may be short interruptions in the use of the services: 

* MyKanta e-service: logging in to the service
*MyKanta application: strong authentication

  • If your strong authentication has not expired, you can log in to the application with your PIN code, fingerprint or face recognition.
  • You may not get notifications from the application during the maintenance break.

* Archivist's interface
* Testain service

16 September: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: between 16 September 9pm to midnight

Kanta-service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

17 September: Interruptions in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela possible

Time: 17 September 2026 between 6am and 8am

Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there may be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8am.

Maintenance work carried out in Kanta services on 18 September – interruptions affecting several services

We are carrying out updates to improve the performance of Kanta services on Friday 18 September 2026 from 20:00. The maintenance measures may result in temporary service interruptions or other disruptions in services, including Kelain, MyKanta and Imaging Data Repository. The services should be back to normal by 09:00 o’clock on 19 September 2026 at the latest.
The maintenance measures may affect the following services:

  • MyKanta
  • Kanta.fi
  • Kelain
  • Imaging Data Repository
  • Kanta Extranet
  • Wellbeing application interfaces to client and patient data
  • Kanta Personal Health Record
  • Client Data Repository for Social Welfare
  • Cross-border prescriptions
  • Archivist's interface
  • Testain service

We ask service users to prepare for service interruptions and disruptions during the maintenance work. If necessary, try using the service again after the interruption.

Maintenance work will be carried out in the Kanta Services, affecting the use of the following services:

  • Kanta Ekstranet
  • Kelain.

Kanta Ekstranet will not be available during the service interruption.
For Kelain, it will not be possible to register a new user or modify the customer information of a previously registered user.

Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, interruptions may occur in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela from 6.00 to 20.00.
