Interruptions in the services in May 2022

Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

6 May: Interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible

Time: 6 May 2022 between 6pm and 7.30pm

Due to maintenance work carried out in the Valvira's service, there may be an interruption in the following Kanta services:

  • Kelain service
  • Valvira role and attribute service

The interruption to the service may have an impact on issuing prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights.

Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be a short interruption in the use of service:

16 May: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: 16 May 2022 between 11pm and 2am

Kanta-service is undergoing urgent maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

17 May: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: 17 May 2022 between 11pm and 4am

Kanta-service is undergoing urgent maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

21 May: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela

Time: 21 May 2022 between 6am and 8pm

Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8pm.

During the interruption, medical certificates and statements cannot be transmitted from healthcare providers to Kela. Doctors should instead follow the standard instructions and print out any medical certificate they issue on paper, sign it manually, and hand it over to the patient.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

25 May: Kela fax numbers unavailable for 1-2 hours starting 16:00 on Wednesday, 25 May 2022

Kela’s fax numbers will be unavailable due to updates for about two hours starting 16:00 on Wednesday, 25 May 2022. Incoming faxes will not be received during that time.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

31 May: Potential interruptions in the Kanta Services

Time: 31 May 2022 at 6am–9.30am

Maintenance work is carried out in the Kanta Services, which may result in brief interruptions in the following services:

  • Kanta Ekstranet
  • Kanta.fi

During the interruptions, the traffic of Kanta.fi and Kanta Ekstranet will be redirected to a temporary page.

In addition, the interruption will have no impact on the use of Kelain. Kelain can be accessed via the following direct link: http://www.kelain.fi/
