You may act on behalf of another adult in MyKanta if you have a Suomi.fi e-Authorization for this purpose. Authorisation can also be granted by a person who does not use online services or have online banking codes.
You will have almost the same rights to manage affairs in MyKanta as the loved one who authorised you. The Suomi.fi e-Authorizations required to use MyKanta are:

An authorisation is required for managing affairs in MyKanta
You can view your loved one’s information only if you have a mandate in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.
When you have received a mandate from the other person, you can act on their behalf in MyKanta.
Log in to MyKanta at kanta.fi. You can identify yourself by using your online banking codes or a mobile certificate, for example.
On the front page, select the link ’Siirry uuteen OmaKantaan tästä’ (Click here to go to the new MyKanta). You will find most of your loved one's information in the new MyKanta.
Go to the section ’Asioi toisen henkilön puolesta’ (Act on behalf of another person). You will find the section in the menu in the top left corner.
Select the person on whose behalf you want to act.
It is not yet possible to act on behalf of another person in the MyKanta application, which you can download on your phone.
Some of your loved one’s information is currently available in the old online service in the section ’Toisen puolesta asiointi’ (Acting on behalf of another person).
For a loved one, you can, for example:
- request a prescription renewal
- view laboratory and imaging results
- view records created by doctors and nurses
- view recorded social welfare client data
- issue consents to data sharing and denials of consent to data sharing.
The functions available to you depend on which authorisations have been granted to you.
When you act on behalf of a friend or family member, you must act together with them or in accordance with their wishes.
In MyKanta, you cannot see or manage your loved one’s organ donation testament, living will or wellbeing and measurement data recorded by your loved one.
Acting as a legal guardian on behalf of another person
