Social services client data

In the future, you will be able to view your social services client data as well as your health and wellbeing data in MyKanta. The data will become available in MyKanta in stages during 2023–2026.

The first social services data are expected to be visible in MyKanta in autumn 2023. Technical changes to social service providers’ data systems are required in order to display the data. Old client data that was previously stored in Kanta will not be visible in MyKanta. More detailed information about viewing your data in MyKanta is available from the social welfare services professional handling your case.

Social services data will be gradually available in MyKanta
At the moment, MyKanta only shows client data recorded in the social services of the wellbeing services counties North Ostrobothnia, South Karelia and Päijät-Häme. The data will become available in phases.
 
In other wellbeing services counties, the data will start being available at a later date.

When will social services client data be made available on MyKanta?

Social services data will be made available in MyKanta in stages. It will become possible to view social services data in MyKanta once the social welfare service provider has joined Kanta and made the necessary changes to their data systems.

Social services client data will be added to MyKanta in stages from 2023–2026, so not all data will be visible immediately. 

In the future, MyKanta will display information from all social services:

  • services for families with children
  • services for the elderly
  • services for people of working age
  • child welfare services
  • services for people with disabilities
  • substance abuse and addiction services
  • family law services

What type of social services client data will be stored in Kanta?

In MyKanta, you will be able to view the social services client data stored in Kanta by a social welfare professional. The data will be displayed in the format in which the social welfare operator stored it in Kanta. 

If you notice any omissions or errors in your information, please contact the social welfare professional handling your case. They will be able to make the necessary corrections to the data through their own client data system, where the data will be updated to MyKanta.

Kanta enables the smooth flow of data between different actors

If data moves smoothly between different social welfare providers, your case can be handled better and more efficiently. Kanta enables data sharing between the wellbeing services counties, for example, provided that you have given your consent to data sharing.

With your consent, the social welfare professionals who handle your case will be able to view your data. In practice, data sharing will begin in stages between 2024–2025 as soon as social welfare service providers have made the necessary changes to their client data systems.
