In the future, appointment booking records can be stored in the Patient Data Repository. The implementation of Kanta-compatible appointment booking information in healthcare information systems and e-services enables the transfer and use of the information between different actors. Appointments in healthcare communicated to customers must be stored in the Patient Data Repository by October 2026 at the latest.
The specification document contains the functional requirements that specify how information about appointments communicated to customers in healthcare should be stored and utilized in the Patient Data Repository. The appointment booking record follows the FHIR standard.
