The Patient Data Repository enables a centralised reserve for electronic medical records and long-term storage of data. The Data Repository plays a key role in the transmission of information between healthcare service providers. Citizens can view their information recorded in healthcare services using the MyKanta service. Patient data are archived in a technically consistent format, which allows data to be transferred from one system to another, and improves access to information across the different units involved in a patient's care.
