Interruptions in the services in December 2022
Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
10 December: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela
Time: 10 December 2022 between 6am and 8pm
Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8pm.
During the interruption, medical certificates and statements cannot be transmitted from healthcare providers to Kela. Doctors should instead follow the standard instructions and print out any medical certificate they issue on paper, sign it manually, and hand it over to the patient.

13 December: Potential interruptions in the Kanta Services
Time: 13 December 2022 at 6.15am–7.15am
Maintenance work is carried out in the Kanta Services, which may result in brief interruptions in the following services:
- Kanta Ekstranet
- Kanta.fi
During the interruptions, the traffic of Kanta.fi and Kanta Ekstranet will be redirected to a temporary page.
During the breaks, My Kanta Pages can be accessed via the following direct link: https://kansalainen.kanta.fi/?lg=fi
In addition, the interruption will have no impact on the use of Kelain. Kelain can be accessed via the following direct link: http://www.kelain.fi/
Please try to access the service again in a little while, if necessary.
15 December: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela
Time: 15 December 2022 between 6am and 8am
Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8am.

30 December 2022: Maintenance break in the Archivist‘s user interface, what to expect
A new version of the Archivist‘s user interface will be installed to add support for wellbeing services counties’ data files. The installation will result in a maintenance break of approximately 15 minutes between 4.00pm and 5.00pm. In addition, public-sector services providers will experience restrictions in the use of the user interface.
The user interface will not be available to the public sector between 4.00pm on 30 December 2022 and midnight on 31 December 2022
- After the installation, it will no longer be possible to retrieve or make void data that is valid until 31 December 2022 in the data files of public-sector service providers.
- Support for the wellbeing services counties’ data files will start with the new version.
- Archivists appointed for the wellbeing services counties can start using the user interface as of 1 January 2023.
The user interface will not be available to private-sector service providers from 4.00pm - 5.00pm on 30 December 2022
- The Archivist’s user interface will operate normally for the private sector, except for a short maintenance break on 30 December 2022.
