Interruptions in the services in May 2023

Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

1-2 May: Possible interruptions in the use of the Kanta Services

Time: 1 May 2023 at 9pm – 2 May 2023 at 5am

Due to maintenance measures carried out in the Suomi.fi web service, there may be interruptions in the following services:

  • Acting on behalf of another person
  • MyKanta: logging in to the service
  • Kanta PHR
  • Kanta Extranet

Please try to access the service again in a little while, if necessary.

8 May: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible

Time: 8 May 2023 between 12 midnight and 4am

Due to maintenance work in the Valtori VY network, there may be short interruptions in Kanta services.

Short interruptions may affect the following:

  • the issuing of prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights
  • Kelain service
  • the transfer of electronic prescriptions between EU countries
  • Valvira’s role and attribute service.

In the event of a service interruption, please try to access the service again later.

10 May: Interruption in the Kanta Services

Time: 10 May 2023 between 5pm and 5.45pm

Due to maintenance work carried out in Spain, there will be interruption in the following Kanta service:

  • Delivery of e-prescriptions between Spain and Finland

13 May: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible

Time: 13 May 2023 between 9am and 3pm

Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be short interruptions in the use of the services:

  • MyKanta
  • My Kanta Personal Health Record
  • Kanta Extranet
  • Kelain

Printing of the EU Digital COVID Certificate from the patient data system or from the national printing and recording service.

14 May: Possible interruptions in the use of the Kanta Services

Time: 14 May 2023 between 7am and 9am

27 May: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela

Time: 27 May 2023 between 6am and 8pm

Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8pm.

During the interruption, medical certificates and statements cannot be transmitted from healthcare providers to Kela. Doctors should instead follow the standard instructions and print out any medical certificate they issue on paper, sign it manually, and hand it over to the patient.
