Notice - Professionals Written on 15.2.2018 All notices

Kela’s client data archive for social welfare services is being built in stages. The functionality of stage I of the services has now been completed, and the organisations included in the pilot scheme can start using the service.

The Social and Health Sector of the City of Vaasa, the South Karelia Social and Health Care District, the Welfare Division of the City of Turku, and the Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters are taking part in the pilot scheme. The pilot use of the service is expected to be launched during spring 2018.

In stage I, the social welfare service providers can record client documents, which have been created before joining the client data archive service or which have been created since joining the service. The client documents are recorded in the display format (PDF/A or XHTML) and they can be utilised in the controller’s own operations.

The social welfare service providers will be able to roll out the service after the pilot period, i.e. from autumn 2018. The roll-out schedules have been published by the National Institute for Health and Welfare THL. Support and guidance for the roll-out period will be implemented according to the schedule.

The development of Kanta services in social welfare is part of the implementation project on national information system services and standardised documentation in social welfare services. The client data archive for social welfare services enables centralised electronic archiving of client data and active use of the data.
