The “Laboratory CDA R2 Entries” specifications are divided into different branches and these branches are not fully forward and backward compatible:
- The 2023 branch corresponds to the 202301 versions of the laboratory documents’ data content of the THL Code Service. In the branch, the clarifications and changes to the generation of the data of the person who made the entry have been taken into account.
- The 2016 branch corresponds to the more recent data content of the THL Code Service.
- The 2009 laboratory specification version contains the core data of the test results. The CDA R2 structure also incorporates other key test result data. This specification is therefore broader than just the core data specification. This specification is intended for the data transfer of not only between the Patient Data Repository but also between other healthcare systems. The data to be transferred to the Patient Data Repository are marked separately.
