The COVID-19 certificates may show an incorrect number of vaccinations – no action is required from citizens

COVID-19 certificates are now only required in exceptional cases, so there is no need to worry about the entries on the certificate. Up-to-date information on COVID-19 vaccinations can be found in the ‘Rokotukset’ (Vaccinations) section of MyKanta.

The COVID-19 certificates in MyKanta may currently show an incorrect number of vaccinations, as the health care guidelines issued by the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) have changed. The vaccination entries in the certificates will be automatically rectified within a few weeks.

“In practice, the COVID-19 certificate is not currently required when travelling. The changed vaccination entries do not require any action from MyKanta users, so there is no cause for concern,” says Mari Holmroos, Specialist in Kela's Kanta Services.

If you must have a certificate of your latest COVID-19 vaccination, you can request a vaccination certificate from health care services. COVID-19 restrictions are only in force in individual countries.
