Prescription data in MyKanta

Clients can view their prescription data and request a prescription renewal in MyKanta.

In MyKanta, client can view their prescription purchases, check how much medicine they have remaining on a prescription, and print out a summary of their prescriptions.

Renewing a prescription in MyKanta

The client can send a prescription renewal request to health care services using MyKanta if the health care service in question accepts them. The health care provider that receives the request will accept, reject or return the renewal request. 

It is important to tell the client whether they can request a prescription renewal in MyKanta or if, for example, they will need to book an appointment to request a renewal. 

A prescription renewal request will expire within 8 days if it has not been processed. The client can monitor the status of the renewal request in MyKanta. 

Incorrect information will be corrected by health care services or pharmacies

Any errors or omissions in the patient data displayed in MyKanta are corrected by the health care unit where the data was recorded. 

An error in the prescription delivery information will be corrected by the pharmacy where the medicine was purchased.
