Users can view their prescription data and request a prescription renewal in MyKanta.

In MyKanta, the client can

  • request prescription renewals
  • view purchases from specific prescriptions
  • check how much remaining medicine is available to purchase
  • print out a summary of their prescriptions.

Renewing a prescription in MyKanta

A client can submit a request for a prescription renewal in MyKanta if the healthcare unit they use accepts renewal requests from MyKanta. The healthcare provider that receives the request will accept, reject or return the renewal request.

It is important to tell the client whether they can request a prescription renewal in MyKanta or if they will need to book an appointment to request a prescription renewal.

A request for a prescription renewal will expire within 8 days if it has not been processed. The client can monitor the status of the renewal request in MyKanta.

Incorrect information is corrected by healthcare services or pharmacies

If there are any errors or omissions in the prescription data displayed in MyKanta, they are to be corrected by the social welfare and healthcare unit where the prescription was issued.

An error in a prescription’s dispensing information will be corrected by the pharmacy where the medicine was purchased.
