COVID-19 passport brought new users to My Kanta Pages – about 3.2 million people already have COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Many people who have downloaded the COVID-19 passport from My Kanta Pages have used My Kanta Pages for the first time. It is also possible to get the EU Digital COVID Certificate as a printout from the healthcare service.

COVID-19 certificates from My Kanta Pages have been used as a COVID-19 passport in Finland since 16 October. By mid-December, 3.2 million Finnish citizens have obtained the COVID-19 vaccination certificate. About half a million people have a certificate of recovery or a test certificate. The majority of these certificates have been downloaded from My Kanta Pages.

One person can have more than one COVID-19 certificate. All three certificates are valid for use in Finland as a COVID-19 passport, which is currently used as an alternative to COVID-19 restrictions. 

The COVID-19 passport has brought new users to My Kanta Pages. In November 2021, My Kanta Pages had 1,950,000 users. During the year, 550,000 people have used My Kanta Pages for the first time. 

Get the EU Digital COVID Certificate from My Kanta Pages or from the local healthcare service

The EU Digital COVID Certificate can be downloaded from My Kanta Pages as a PDF file. It is also possible to take a screenshot of the certificate or print it out. You need banking codes or a mobile certificate for using My Kanta Pages. If you don’t have these or if you are unable to use My Kanta Pages for some other reason, the COVID-19 certificate can be obtained as a printout from the healthcare service of your own municipality. The municipalities provide more detailed instructions on the practical measures.

Many parishes, associations and libraries also provide guidance and help in printing out the COVID-19 certificate from My Kanta Pages. This is useful especially for persons who don’t have a smartphone. Take your banking codes or mobile certificate with you when seeking help in printing the certificate. Please note that the means of identification are personal and no other person can use them. Look after the certificate as carefully as any other documents that contain your personal data. Monitor the public announcements in your area.

How to get the EU COVID-19 certificates from My Kanta Pages

  1. Log in to My Kanta Pages on the kanta.fi website with your own means of identification, such as online banking codes or a mobile certificate.
  2. Select COVID-19 certificate from the menu on the left-hand side. You will also find a link to the certificate section on the front page of My Kanta Pages.
  3. Open the COVID-19 certificate by clicking the PDF link. If you have a certificate, it will open in a new tab.
  4. Save the PDF file in your own phone or another device or take a screenshot of it. That way you will have the certificate with you when you need it. You can also print the certificate on paper.

If there is an error in the certificate, please contact the healthcare service

The data is correct in the majority of COVID-19 certificates. Some certificates contain omissions, which usually happen when the data is entered in the patient data system. If there are errors or omissions in your certificate, please contact the healthcare service. The Kanta Services are unable to rectify incorrect data.
