A commitment made by a service enabler must be terminated if the use of the Kanta Service under the name of the service enabler who entered into the undertaking no longer takes place.
Termination of the commitment may be justified in situations such as
- cessation of activities
- reorganisation
- business acquisition
- other change situation.
Terminating the commitment ends the client relationship with the Kanta Services and stops the invoicing of the user fees, if the organisation in question is a billable Kanta Services client.
Termination of the commitment can be done via the Kanta Services Extranet.
If using the Extranet is not possible, Kanta Services can be terminated by submitting a notice of termination of Kanta services (pdf, in Finnish)(opens new window). The notice is submitted by e-mail to kanta@kanta.fi or by post to the address shown on the form.
In a change situation, the service provider must also check whether it is necessary to carry out a change of controller.
If the service provider’s operations end entirely, the instructions for archiving client and patient data after the operations have ended must be taken into account.
