Deployment means all the measures that are required of the social welfare and healthcare organisations in order to be able to start using a new Kanta service. The deployment of the client data archive in social welfare services is a multi-stage process that requires planning and preparation. The organisations must reserve a sufficient amount of time and resources for the deployment.
Until now, the deployment processes of the client data archive of social welfare services have been implemented in deployment waves, during which it is possible to deploy features in phases in accordance with the definitions for stages 1 and 2. In future, stages will be introduced also in the social welfare services, but the phased deployment model will otherwise remain unchanged.
The duration and contents of the process depend on the initial situation of the organisation and how the organisation will start utilising the client data archive for social welfare services. Before deployment, the organisation must prepare itself with due care, ensuring that the joint preparatory measures by all those joining the Kanta Services and the preparatory measures concerning social welfare services have been carried out.
Kela and THL are responsible for the definitions for the Kanta Services in social welfare. The social welfare and healthcare organisation is responsible for the deployment of the service and for the implementation of the deployment process. The information system suppliers are responsible for ensuring that the system is compatible with Kanta.
More detailed instructions on the deployment of the client data archive for social welfare services are available in Finnish and Swedish as the service is only available in these languages.
