Visiting record on My Kanta Pages – nearly 2 million visits in November

My Kanta Pages is an online service, where everyone can see their own health data and prescriptions. The number of people visiting My Kanta Pages has increased considerably in recent years.

During the current year, the total number of logins to My Kanta Pages was xx million. In November, an all-time record for one month was achieved: the service was used 1.96 million times. The two million monthly visits milestone will probably be passed at the beginning of next year.

My Kanta Pages for trouble-free access

On My Kanta Pages, citizens can view their own prescriptions and data recorded by healthcare professionals in connection with treatment. The online service shows the data from both the public and private healthcare sector.

On My Kanta Pages, you can also record your organ donation consent and living will, and enter data from wellbeing applications. In the future, social welfare client data can also be viewed on My Kanta Pages.

At present, guardians can view data on their children under 10 years of age.

– My Kanta Pages have consolidated their position as part of healthcare and of citizens’ everyday life. Attending to matters is easy, when, e.g., you can request renewal of your prescription with a few clicks, says Mari Holmroos, customer relationship manager for My Kanta Service at Kela.

Last year, over 2 million prescription renewal requests were made on My Kanta Pages. They accounted for almost a quarter of all requests.

More than half of Finns have used My Kanta Pages

You can log in to My Kanta Service through the website kanta.fi, using either online bank IDs, a mobile certificate or an electronic ID card.

– Many Finns like to use digital services, and more and more people are familiar with My Kanta Service. We have actively communicated about the service through different channels, and the user numbers have increased rapidly. The post strike may also have contributed to the November visiting record, Holmroos sums up.

When My Kanta Service was introduced in 2010, it had 690 users over the year. The milestone of a million users was passed in 2015, and now already more than half of the Finns have used the service.

My Kanta Service is constantly being developed on the basis of on customer wishes. Kela is responsible for the maintenance and development of the service.
