The accessibility of e-Services is being improved in terms of contents and technology.
During next year, a major effort will be devoted to the accessibility of the service. The improvement measures will focus on the contents, the quality of linked attachments, and technical solutions. This will ensure that the online service will be available to as many clients as possible regardless of their functional capacity. The usability and accessibility of Kanta.fi was last assessed in spring 2018, before the publication of the updated e-Service. At that time, the results were good and the service could be used, e.g. with a screen reader.
Accessibility requirements to enter into force in September 2020
The accessibility statement will be published on Kanta.fi on 23 September 2020. The statement will provide an account of the level of accessibility to services in terms of their contents and technical solutions and how clients can provide feedback on accessibility.
