Kanta services will be joining Finland’s largest Wellbeing Hackathon in Helsinki on 27–29 October 2017.

New health and wellbeing solutions will be developed by joining forces with mentors at the event, which involves about 100 programmers, service developers, entrepreneurs and experts by experience. Social and healthcare professionals and decision-makers will also be taking part.

The Wellbeing Hackathon is a meeting place to jointly develop new kinds of operating models that can utilise digital solutions, artificial intelligence and robotics.

Project Manager Pirjo Vuorikallas of Kela’s Kanta services will act as the mentor of My Kanta Pages Personal Health Record.

“The Personal Health Record is a national data repository in which citizens can save their wellbeing data. Wellbeing data means the citizen’s measurement, lifestyle and activity data that is directly or indirectly linked to their wellbeing and health promotion.”

Kela is implementing the data platform for the Personal Health Record, and it also maintains and develops it. The service is under development, and the approval testing for production with the pilots is estimated to start in November. In the Hackathon, the platform used for implementing new services is the open sandbox development environment, which is available in the Personal Health Record.
