Registering of healthcare and social welfare services for the second Kanta deployment phase in 2021 is open until 30 November 2020. Registering for the last deployment phase of next year will open in December.

The deployment of the Kanta Services and functionalities will be implemented in three phases, and registration for them takes place in advance. In the healthcare services, these are called “deployment phases”, while in the social welfare services they are still called “waves”.

Register now for the second deployment phase

At the moment, you can register for a phase with production use starting in May–August 2021. Registering for this healthcare deployment phase 2/2021 and for wave 9 of the deployment of the client data archive in social welfare services will end on 30 November 2020 at 4pm, so hurry!

Registering for the last phase in 2021 is approaching

Registering for the last deployment phase of next year will open soon. Therefore now is a good time to be proactive if your organisation has plans to deploy the Kanta Services or expand currently used services use next year. In the last phase, production use is planned to start in September–December 2021.

The period of registration for deployment phase 3/2021 of the healthcare services is 1 December 2020 – 31 January 2021 at 4pm. The registration form will be available on the kanta.fi website at the latest when registration opens.

Registration for wave 10 of social welfare services is now open, and it will close on 31 January 2021 at 4pm.

Which functionalities can you deploy in the second phase?

In deployment phase 2/2021, it will be possible to deploy, e.g. the following functionalities in healthcare services:

  • acting on behalf of a minor
  • archiving of imaging data
  • sharing of medical certificates and reports with Kela.

Deployment of the client data archive for social welfare services continues in waves. Organisations can start their use in different extents. The more extensive the functionalities and data contents used in the deployment are, the greater the benefits of the service will be for the organisation.

The so-called basic functionalities in accordance with phase 1 are:

  • archiving of client data (old client data or client data entered after deployment)
  • retrieving client data from the archive for the controller’s own use.

The functionalities in phase 2 include:

  • register access right
  • structured recording of client history entries.
